1. Overview
This Privacy Policy explains how PaperLine, provided by GoldLine Developers, handles information when you use the PaperLine mobile application and related support channels.
PaperLine is designed as an offline-first PDF and document utility. Core document actions are intended to occur on your device unless a feature clearly tells you that an external service is required.
2. Document processing
PaperLine may scan, create, merge, split, compress, convert, crop, rotate, reorder, watermark, protect, unlock, sign, view, and perform OCR-related operations on documents selected by you.
- Offline tools process document content locally on your device.
- PaperLine does not claim ownership of your files or extracted text.
- PaperLine does not intentionally upload your documents to GoldLine Developers’ servers.
- Any future cloud or AI feature should present a separate disclosure before use.
3. Information processed
Files and document content
PaperLine processes files, images, camera captures, PDF pages, OCR text, signatures, watermark text, passwords entered for document operations, and output settings only as needed to perform actions requested by you.
App preferences
The app may store settings locally, including theme, selected language, display name, downloaded language models, tool-usage counters, recent files, favourites, and Pro-entitlement state.
Diagnostics
If crash reporting is enabled, technical diagnostics may include app version, device model, Android version, crash stack trace, and basic execution state. PaperLine should not intentionally attach document content to crash reports.
Support communications
When you contact support, GoldLine Developers receives the information you choose to send, such as your email address, message, screenshots, and optional diagnostic details.
4. Permissions
- Camera, to scan documents.
- Photos and media, or Android’s system file picker, to select source files.
- Storage or document-tree access, to save into a folder chosen by you.
- Internet and network state, for ads, purchases, consent messages, language-model downloads, legal pages, support links, and crash reporting where enabled.
You may deny optional permissions, but affected features may not work.
5. Third-party services
The production version may use:
- Google Play Billing for one-time Pro purchases and restoration.
- Google Mobile Ads / AdMob for advertisements in the Free plan.
- Google User Messaging Platform for advertising-consent choices where required.
- Firebase Crashlytics for stability diagnostics, if enabled.
- Google ML Kit or downloaded language components for OCR or translation-related functionality, if included.
- Android system document providers for opening and saving selected files.
These providers operate under their own privacy policies.
6. Advertising
The Free plan may display banner, native, interstitial, or rewarded advertisements. Advertising providers may process device identifiers, approximate location derived from network information, app interactions, diagnostics, and advertising data according to consent choices and applicable law.
Where required, PaperLine should provide a consent message and a way to revisit privacy choices. Pro users should not receive PaperLine advertising after entitlement becomes active.
7. Pro purchases
PaperLine Pro is intended as a one-time Google Play purchase for eligible offline premium functionality. Google Play processes payment information. GoldLine Developers generally receives purchase-status information rather than full payment-card details.
Restoring a purchase checks whether the current Google Play account owns the applicable product.
8. Storage
By default, PDF outputs may be saved under Documents/PaperLine/ and image outputs under Pictures/PaperLine/, with tool-specific folders. If you choose another folder through Android’s system picker, PaperLine may retain access as permitted by Android.
Removing PaperLine may not delete files saved in shared storage.
9. Retention
- Saved files remain until you delete them or another system action removes them.
- Temporary processing files should be removed after completion or failure, subject to technical cleanup schedules.
- Local settings remain until reset, cleared, or the app is uninstalled.
- Support emails may be retained as needed to answer requests and maintain records.
- Third-party providers retain data under their own policies.
10. Security
GoldLine Developers uses reasonable measures appropriate to the app’s design, but no device, storage medium, transmission method, or software is completely secure. PDF password and security features depend on the underlying implementation and are not a substitute for secure device handling.
11. Children
PaperLine is a general document utility and is not directed to children under the minimum age required to consent to data processing in their jurisdiction.
12. Choices and rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, object to, or withdraw consent concerning personal information. Most PaperLine document data is controlled directly through your device because documents are processed locally.
You can also manage Android permissions, advertising choices, downloaded models, saved files, and app data through PaperLine or device settings.
13. International processing
Third-party providers and support systems may process information in countries other than your own. Their safeguards and legal obligations apply.
14. Changes
This policy may be updated when PaperLine’s features, providers, legal requirements, or business practices change. The revised effective date will appear at the top of this page.
